New Online: A Lecture and A Roundtable Discussion

I’m happy to be able to share a lecture I gave at the RISD Museum last October, “Mira Schor / Living between Visuality, Materiality, and Language.” This is a lecture on my dual practice of painting and writing. This is one of my favorite lectures, from my point of view one of those happy moments of clarity, where I am able to say what I want to say as gracefully and comprehensively as I am capable of, and it was a pleasure to give it at RISD at the invitation of my dear friend Jennifer Liese, Director of the RISD Writing Center, and with friends including Faith Wilding, Elizabeth Weed, and Denise Davis in the audience. Their presence and a great student audience helped make this lecture a glowing moment for me. I really hope you’ll watch.

Also new online, “Roundtable: A Community of M/E/A/N/I/N/G:” this was a really good, substantive, sometimes heated and I hope generative roundtable discussion at The Feminist Art Project@CAA2015 day of panels this past February 14, 2015, held at the MAD | Museum of Arts and Design, on collectives and collaboration, with the participation of Joyce Kozloff, Sheila Pepe, Alexandria Smith, and Kara Rooney, with M/E/A/N/I/N/G co-editors Mira Schor and Susan Bee.
